10. Summary of the thesis results:
A study on the current state of healthcare services for the elderly in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province shows that healthcare services for this social group are increasing in quantity and improving in quality, better meeting the healthcare needs of the elderly.
However, the implementation of healthcare services for the elderly has also revealed some shortcomings, such as: preventive health activities are not carried out regularly; the quality of medical examination and treatment is not high; rehabilitation for the elderly has not been implemented systematically; the quantity and variety of medicines supplied externally are limited, and their quality is not strictly managed.
The study also revealed that many local resources can be utilized to develop healthcare services suitable for the elderly, such as: state healthcare policies; healthcare personnel; medical facilities and equipment; and the knowledge and skills of the elderly in healthcare. Based on these local resources, the author has proposed several solutions and recommendations for developing healthcare services suitable for the elderly, contributing to improving their health and ensuring social welfare.

To be used as research, teaching, and learning material for the course "Social Work with the Elderly" in universities and colleges; to develop appropriate healthcare services for the elderly in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province in particular and the whole country in general.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis:
The results of survey showed that the health services provided for the elderly in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province increased in both quantity and quality and met their expectation on health care need.
However, during the implementation of health services for the elderly also revealed such as the health care prevention are not carried out regularly; operational quality health care is not good enough; the rehabilitation of the elderly has not been implemented in the right way; amount and types of drugs supplied outside health care insurance is not much, the quality is not closely managed.
The study also shows that there are many local resources that can be utilized to develop appropriate health services for the elderly such as the health care policies of the State; human resources; facilities, medical equipment; knowledge and skills on providing health care services for the elderly... Based on the findings and available local resources, the person who conducted this survey gives some solutions and recommendations for the development of appropriate health services for the elderly, contributing to improving health and ensuring social security for the elderly.
12. Practical applicability, if any:
The theories and findings of survey could be used as a reference materials for teaching and further studies. The model of health care services for the elderly in Luu Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province could be applied and replicated in other communes in Nghe An province and national.
