10. Summary of thesis results:

The thesis has clarified the close historical relationship between Russia and Ukraine from the common origin from the ancient Rut country to the modern period as countries of the Soviet Union, closely linked together on the basis of the same Communist ideology. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the US and its Western allies continued to increase their influence, intervene and attract Eastern European countries, especially Ukraine - a country with a particularly important position and role for Russia. Ukraine's gradual escape from Russia's influence and orientation to join the EU and NATO has caused tension in Russia-Ukraine relations and culminated in the crisis in 2014.

The thesis has contributed to clarifying the current state of the Russia-Ukraine relationship from 2014 to present in all aspects of politics - diplomacy, security - defense, economy - trade, culture and society... always in a state of confrontation and conflict. Although since Ukrainian President V. Zelensky took office, the relationship between Russia and Ukraine has had some positive changes, but the forecast of the relationship between the two countries until 2030 still cannot have any breakthrough changes.

The thesis assesses the current state of tension in Russia - Ukraine relations that has affected the planning and implementation of policies of each country, as well as the impacts on the regional and international situation, including Vietnam. From the prospects of Russia - Ukraine relations and the above impacts, the thesis has made a number of recommendations on the implementation of foreign policy in international relations in general and for each country Russia and Ukraine for Vietnam in the coming time.
