Coping with surplus inventory應赴餘編總集 is a work that clearly demonstrates the power of ritual and means and the blending of Buddha's teachings with Vietnamese folk beliefs. It is a text that includes several worshiping subjects quoted from the book Thuy Luc, and also includes the poems, royal questions, poems, and literature of the Mother Goddess worship in other books that have been collected, copied in their original form or adapted from the original Chinese text into the form of Nom Luc Bat poetry, with simple, easy-to-learn, easy-to-remember language that conveys profound meanings and clear teachings of cause and effect, aiming to encourage good and punish evil.
This text was edited and engraved in the 7th year of Thanh Thai (1895) by monk Chinh Dai (?- ?) who copied, corrected and had it engraved. This thesis delves into the author. Although there is no information about the life and career of monk Chinh Dai, the thesis has quite specific results about the "Hung Phuc" pagoda, a famous place for printing woodblock prints about worship and Buddhist books in the late 19th century.
