The comparative thesis aims to point out the similarities and differences in the system of legends about the uprising of the Trung Sisters circulating in Me Linh and Phuc Tho.

With fieldwork, ethnological and folklore investigations, the thesis contributes to the collection and supplementation of practical sources related to the legend and festival of Hai Ba Trung in Me Linh and Phuc Tho.

The thesis also contributes to affirming the effectiveness of the current research direction of folk literature: synthesis, interdisciplinary, combining both surveying available documents and fieldwork, exploiting the treasure of folk legends associated with the festival environment.
