This thesis conducted a survey and comparison of the legends and festivals of Dau Pagoda - Thuan Thanh - Bac Ninh.

Through fieldwork, ethnographic research, and folklore studies, this thesis contributes to the collection and supplementation of factual materials related to the legends and festivals of Dau Pagoda - Thuan Thanh - Bac Ninh.

This thesis also contributes to affirming the effectiveness of the current research direction in Folklore Studies: interdisciplinary synthesis, combining the study of existing texts with fieldwork, and exploiting the treasure trove of folk legends associated with festival environments. This is one of the new research directions in Folklore Studies in the current period.

Thesis analyzes and compares to point out the similarities and differences in the system of the legend of Dau Pogoda festival in Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province.

With fieldwork, ethnographic investigation and folklore, has contributed essays to the collection, additional resources related to actual legends and Dau Pogoda festival in Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province.

Dissertation also contributes to confirm the effectiveness of lolklore is: synthetic, interdisciplinary, combining survey text available, just going to the field and exploiting the treasure legends associated with environmental folk festivals. This is one of the new studying trends of the folk literature in this period now.
