Summary of Thesis Results: This thesis is a survey of Nguyen Khoa Diem's poetry from a cultural perspective. The research findings of this thesis hope to provide a more comprehensive and complete overview of Nguyen Khoa Diem's poetry, thereby revealing the explorations, innovations, movements, and development of his poetry, which is deeply rooted in the cultural nuances of a particular region. We do not aspire to offer entirely new interpretations that differ from previous research, but rather to utilize existing achievements to provide initial, concrete assessments from a new perspective. Studying literature from a cultural viewpoint is a novel approach that helps us better understand the artistic values of a work. The research results of this thesis contribute to affirming a promising new direction in literary research: from a cultural-literary perspective, exploring the interaction, exchange, and mutual influence to gain a thorough understanding from multiple dimensions and aspects. Nguyen Khoa Diem's poetry was conceived in the dreamy and traditionally rich land of Hue. This land nurtured his poetic soul and provided endless inspiration for his poetic creations. The poet's emotions, thoughts, struggles, and even the simplest things in daily life are expressed through a unique and distinctive way of thinking, feeling, language, imagery, and structure. Reading his poetry, we encounter the profound beauty of the soul of the people of Hue, and the cultural essence of a Vietnamese countryside, conveyed through the rhythm of six-eight and five-word verses, and especially through the skillful free-flowing rhythm that transcends conventional norms. His love for his homeland, his emotions, thoughts, philosophies, and reflections on life and love are expressed through a unique and distinctive way of thinking, feeling, language, imagery, and structure. Nguyen Khoa Diem has created in his poetry a system of distinctive imagery, becoming cultural symbols of the ancient capital of Hue, such as the Perfume River, the garden, the road, and the fire. Summary of the findings of the thesis: Nguyen Khoa Diem is a very famous poet in the modern Vietnamese literature. The poems of Nguyen Khoa Diem are interesting and attactive, especially they are cultivating Hue's cultural character influence. Outdoor land, Khat street, Ngoi house with delicious lua am and Coi lang are the most successful colections of poems. So, we studied these words to find out his style which is expressed in content and methods of art. By using theory of synthetic analysis to combine manipulations such as comparing, statisticaling, quatifying, interdisciplinary…, in this composition, we present the content in three chapters. In the first, sketchily, we concentrate on introducing the specific characteristics of Hue culture, the connection between culture and literature, the life and the achievements of Nguyen Khoa Diem. A numbers of works which Nguyen Khoa Diem wrote are quite famous throughout half a centery. In a word, the achievements of Nguyen Khoa Diem contributed in development of the modern Vietnamese literature. In the second chapter, we do concentrate research and explain the cultural inspirations in Dat ngoai o, Mat duong khat ngoong, Ngoi house has delicious lua am, Coi lang. In doing this, firstly we assert that Hoang Cam is poet of his homland - Hue. The Hue cultural character influences on his style, concomitantly it has been the endless inspirations for Nguyen Khoa Diem. Writing homeland, Hoang Cam revealed his pride, respectability and gratitude for Hue, where he was born and grown up. He has many poems about the enthusiasm of youth in Hue. He described traditional merrymakings, rejoycings and the fight for independence which took place in Hue, … He made Hue become immoral in life and in poetry. As well as writing about the homeland, but Nguyen Khoa Diem writes about his confidence, philosophy of his life… In the last chapter, we present our work about surrealistic style in Dat ngoai o, Mat duong khat rong, Ngoi house delicious lua am, Coi lang.. We firstly present the Hue culture is shown in poetical images such as the Huong river, the garden, the road and the fire. These are the cutural symbols which play important in Nguyen Khoa Diem poetry. On the other hands, we study on language in the poems of Dat ngoai o, Mat duong khat rong, Ngoi house has delicious lua am, Coi lang. His poetry language is chosen from popular language and is combined by many methods, so they're very effective and meaningful… As a result, we can come to the following conclusion: Nguyen Khoa Diem is a talented poet in the modern Vietnamese literature. His poetry combines cleverly tradition and modernization, especially they are cultivating Hue's cultural character influence.
