10. Summary of thesis results:
The study was conducted on 482 high school students in Hanoi and Vinh Phuc provinces to study body image self-assessment in high school students. We used 3 main scales to conduct the survey: Multidimensional Body Image Scale (MBSRQ-AS); Sociocultural Attitudes Scale towards Appearance (SATAQ - 4); Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS). The research results showed that there were differences in appearance orientation, concerns about being overweight, and body weight self-assessment between boys and girls. Students had average body orientation and body image assessment. Internalization of thin/low fat body had an impact on appearance self-orientation especially in girls and internalization of muscular/firm body had an impact on body part satisfaction especially in boys. Family, peer, and media pressure factors influence aspects of body image self-evaluation. Peer pressure predicts decreased body image self-evaluation in students, satisfaction with body parts, and increased concern about being overweight in students, increased self-evaluation of body weight. Family pressure predicts increased concern about being overweight in students. In this study, we did not find any predictive effects of media influence on body image self-evaluation in students. Most aspects of body image self-evaluation were significantly positively correlated with life satisfaction. Specifically, appearance orientation, body image self-evaluation, and satisfaction with body parts were significantly positively correlated with life satisfaction.
In general, the initial research results fill in the gaps in theoretical basis for the concepts of the topic and are the basis for us to make recommendations to families, educational institutions and society.

11. Summary of the findings of the thesis: The research was actioned on 482 high-school students in two provinces (Hanoi and Vinh Phuc) for self-assessment on body images of high school students. We used 3 main scales to conduct the survey: Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionaire – Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS), Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionaire – 4 (SATAQ-4) and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). The results of the research showed that there're differences in appearance orientation, overweighted-concerning and self-assessment of body weight between male and female. Students' orientation and evaluation of appearance were average. The internalization of a thin/low-fat body affects body image self-orientation, especially in female students, and the internalization of a muscular/toned appearance affects the satisfaction of body parts, especially in male students. Pressure from family, friends, and media influence are factors aspect of self-evaluation of body image. Peer pressure predicts a decrease in students' appearance evaluation and body satisfaction, while on the contrary it increases students' concerns about being overweight and increases their body-weight self-assessment. Pressure from families is expected to increase concerns about being overweight among students. In this research, we did not find a prediction of the results of media influence on appearance affecting self-assessment of body image among students. Most aspects of self-assessed body image were significantly positively correlated with life satisfaction. specific, appearance orientation, appearance evaluation, and satisfaction with body parts have a significantly positive correlation with life satisfaction.
Overall, the outcomes of the research filled the gaps in the theoretical basis for the concepts of the topic and are the basis for us to make recommendations for families, educational institutions and society.
