10. Summary of the thesis results:
Based on a systematic analysis of several theoretical and practical issues, and a survey and assessment of the current state of the role of print media in monitoring and providing social critique of transportation activities, this thesis proposes several solutions to enhance and strengthen the role of print media in monitoring and providing social critique of the transportation sector. To achieve the research objectives, the author of this thesis has undertaken the following tasks:
In Chapter 1, the author systematizes several theoretical issues related to the role of social oversight and critique by the press in general and print media in particular on life issues, including the transportation sector. This includes: related concepts; the role of print media in social oversight and critique of life and transportation activities; the political and legal basis and principles and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of print media's social oversight and critique of the transportation sector.
Chapter 2 analyzes and evaluates the current state of the role of print media in monitoring and providing social critique on transportation activities (a survey of Giao Thong and Phap Luat TP.HCM newspapers from January 2022 to December 2023). Through surveying, statistically analyzing data, the author of the thesis points out the achievements, limitations, and causes in the performance of print media in monitoring and providing social critique on transportation activities.
In Chapter 3, the author identifies the issues and proposes key solutions to enhance the role of print media in monitoring and providing social critique of transportation activities in the future.
11. Practical applications:
The results of this study can help journalists, print media outlets, and governing bodies obtain scientific arguments to develop their role in monitoring and providing social critique of transportation activities in particular, and many other areas of social life in general.
This study aims to enhance and strengthen the role of the press in social oversight and criticism. It can also serve as a reference for media managers, policymakers, and lawmakers in making informed decisions.

In Chapter 1, the author systematically analyzes several theoretical issues related to the execution of the supervisory and critical social roles of the press in general, and print media in particular, regarding various aspects of life, including the transportation sector. This includes: Relevant concepts; the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in society and specifically in transportation activities; political and legal foundations and principles; criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of print media's supervision and critical commentary on the transportation industry.
In Chapter 2, the author conducts an analysis and evaluation of the current status of the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in transportation activities (based on a survey of Traffic and Law Ho Chi Minh City newspapers from January 2022 to December 2023). Through surveying, data collection, and analysis, the thesis author identifies achievements, limitations, and reasons for the implementation of the supervisory and critical social roles of print media regarding transportation activities.
In Chapter 3, the author identifies key issues and proposes primary solutions aimed at enhancing the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in transportation activities in the future.
