10. Summary of thesis results:
Based on the systematization of some theoretical and practical issues, survey and assessment of the current status of the role of monitoring and social criticism of print newspapers on current transport activities, the thesis has proposed a number of solutions to help improve and strengthen the role of monitoring and social criticism of print newspapers on the transport sector. To achieve the proposed research objectives, the author of the thesis has carried out the following tasks:
In Chapter 1, the author systematizes a number of theoretical issues related to the implementation of the role of social supervision and criticism of the press in general and print media in particular on life issues, including the transport sector. Including: Related concepts; the role of social supervision and criticism of print media on life - society and on transport activities; political - legal basis and principles, criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism of print media on the transport sector.
In Chapter 2, the author analyzes and evaluates the current status of the role of monitoring and social criticism of print newspapers on transport activities (Survey of Giao Thong and Phap Luat TP.HCM newspapers from January 2022 to December 2023). Through survey, statistics, and data analysis, the author of the thesis pointed out the achievements, limitations, and causes when performing the role of monitoring and social criticism of print newspapers on transport activities.
In Chapter 3, the author points out the problems and proposes key groups of solutions to enhance the role of monitoring and social criticism of print media on transport activities in the coming time.
11. Practical application:
The results of this study can help journalists, print newspaper editorial offices and management units have scientific arguments to develop the role of monitoring and social criticism on transportation activities in particular and many areas of social life in general.
Thereby, promoting and strengthening the role of the press in monitoring and social criticism. This research can also help press managers, policy makers, and lawmakers to refer to in making their decisions.

To achieve the research objectives, the thesis author has undertaken the following tasks:
In Chapter 1, the author systematically analyzes several theoretical issues related to the execution of the supervisory and critical social roles of the press in general, and print media in particular, regarding various aspects of life, including the transportation sector. This includes: Relevant concepts; the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in society and specifically in transportation activities; political and legal foundations and principles; criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of print media's supervision and critical commentary on the transportation industry.
In Chapter 2, the author conducts an analysis and evaluation of the current status of the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in transportation activities (based on a survey of Traffic and Law Ho Chi Minh City newspapers from January 2022 to December 2023). Through surveying, data collection, and analysis, the thesis author identifies achievements, limitations, and reasons for the implementation of the supervisory and critical social roles of print media regarding transportation activities.
In Chapter 3, the author identifies key issues and proposes primary solutions aimed at enhancing the supervisory and critical social roles of print media in transportation activities in the future.
12. Practical applicability, if any: This research outcome can provide newspaper editorial teams, printing presses, and managing authorities with scientific evidence to enhance their supervisory and critical social roles in transportation activities, as well as in various other societal domains. Consequently, it can strengthen and advance the monitoring and critical social functions of the press. Additionally, this study may assist media managers, policy makers, and legislators in making informed decisions by serving as a point of reference for their deliberations.
