- The thesis has closely followed the theoretical basis of journalism and provided theoretical and practical basis, at the same time analyzed, synthesized and explained the issues related to the thesis. That is the issue of using sound in the genres of radio works on 2 channels VOV1 and VOV2 - Voice of Vietnam.

- Based on the theoretical issues that have been established, the thesis has studied, researched, and analyzed the current situation of using sound in radio works of a number of survey programs to see the role of sound in the work/program, the author's purpose, frequency, capacity, location of appearance, content of sound in the work/program, researched the reception needs and public opinions on works that use sound; Pointed out the successes, limitations, and causes of limitations in the use of sound in modern radio works and programs.

- From the theoretical and practical foundations studied, the thesis offers basic solutions and recommendations for press agencies and the public to improve the quality of sound use in works and modern radio programs not only for the two channels VOV1 and VOV2 of the Voice of Vietnam, but also for local radio stations and broadcasting stations so that modern radio can bring the breath of life, closer to the majority of listeners. Thereby, affirming the position, role and unique strengths of radio in the current system of press types.
