10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis employs descriptive and semantic lexical analysis methods to describe the structural and nominating characteristics of household goods terms in Vietnamese and Chinese. Subsequently, it uses a comparative analysis method to explore the similarities and differences between these terms. Throughout the survey and analysis process, the thesis utilizes a combination of statistical and classification techniques.

This thesis surveys and studies the structural characteristics and naming conventions of terms referring to household items in modern Vietnamese and Chinese. The thesis categorizes terms referring to modern household items in Vietnamese-Chinese and Chinese-Vietnamese dictionaries according to various naming characteristics, such as arbitrary naming, naming based on the formal characteristics of the object, naming based on the method and purpose of operation, naming based on the material characteristics of the object, and finally, naming based on regional characteristics.

Some points to note, such as a single Vietnamese name being identified by multiple Chinese names, or vice versa, a single Chinese name being identified by multiple Vietnamese names, are also mentioned in the thesis to remind foreign language learners and encourage flexibility in usage to avoid confusion.

Finally, we examine the cultural elements of modern household appliance terms in Vietnamese and Chinese. Through these terms, we can see the cultural mindset of contemporary Vietnamese and Chinese people.

The thesis has arranged and classified modern household appliance terminology in the Vietnamese - Chinese dictionary and the Chinese - Vietnamese dictionary according to identification characteristics such as arbitrary identification, identification according to the formal characteristics of objects, identification according to manner and purpose of operation, identification according to the material and materials of the things and finally identification according to the region.
