10. Summary of the thesis results: Some conclusions of the thesis are as follows:
In pronunciation errors, HVQSLs make pronunciation errors in tones, initial consonants, medial sounds, main sounds and final sounds. The reason for these errors is that their mother tongue is Lao and the target language is Vietnamese. In tone errors, HVQSLs make errors in pronouncing the falling and asking sounds. In initial consonant errors, HVQSLs make pronunciation errors in 9 initial consonants: /ʐ/, /s/, /ʂ/, /c/, /ʈ/, /k/, /x/, /ɣ/, /v/. In medial sounds after initial consonants, HVQSLs make pronunciation errors in swallowing the medial sound /ṷ/, or can be called the error of confusing the medial sound /ṷ/ and the medial sound /zêrô/. In main sounds, HVQSLs make errors in pronouncing 5 vowels: /ɔ̆/, /o/, /ɤ̆/, /ε̆/, /w/. Final sound errors are shown in the incorrect pronunciation of the four final sounds /-t/, /-k/, /-ŋ/, /-i̭/.
The way to correct pronunciation errors of HVQSL is done at the same time between teachers and students. Practice exercises are essential for the initial stage of learning Vietnamese for students. Teachers need to take students as the center and must be the one who understands the pronunciation errors that their students make, then come up with creative solutions. Teachers need to combine effective teaching methods, learning, playing and practicing at the same time. Design exercises suitable for the purpose of correcting errors and the level of students. Strengthen the work of testing and evaluating students' levels to have appropriate teaching plans for each subject at different levels.
11. Practical application:
The thesis is meaningful for teaching and learning Vietnamese as a foreign language for Lao students. Support the process of learning and teaching Vietnamese for Lao students to achieve higher efficiency. Help teachers have directions for preparing pronunciation lessons suitable for students, help students correct pronunciation errors quickly and effectively. Improve the quality of teaching and learning Vietnamese for Lao students in particular and for foreigners in general.
