Using the concept of “Forest Culture”, based on field documents and secondary documents, this work attempts to compare the similarities and differences in the “forest culture” of the Lao people in the Northwest of Laos with the forest culture of the Thai people in the Northwest of Vietnam on some basic aspects such as customs and related rituals. At the same time, the study also points out the reasons leading to those similarities and differences.
