10. Summary of the thesis results:

Suicidal behavior in adults with depression is a mental illness that directly affects the lives and mental well-being of the individual.

Through comprehensive studies and direct clinical case support and therapy sessions with adult clients exhibiting suicidal behavior and depressive disorders, we have found that the issue of depression in adults with suicidal intentions and attempts is a significant concern. For adults with depressive disorders, and especially those with suicidal behavior, counseling and psychotherapy sessions are essential to help reduce suicidal thoughts and alleviate depressive symptoms.

Based on theoretical research, client evaluation results after support, and clinical monitoring, we have observed the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral activation techniques in supporting clients with suicidal tendencies. This helps clients replace false beliefs about self-image, relationship failures, and anxieties about a lack of purpose in life by forming and carrying out activities that benefit them, enhancing their awareness of their own problems, and self-regulating their behavior and emotions.

11. Practical applications:

Suicidal behavior in depressed adults has a serious impact on clients. Clients with depressive disorders frequently experience suicidal thoughts and attempts. These clients suffer numerous negative physical and psychological changes, intensifying their suicidal intentions. Therefore, psychological therapies are necessary to support clients in ending their suicidal thoughts and reducing depressive symptoms. Cognitive behavioral therapy, including behavioral activation techniques, can be particularly effective in helping clients with suicidal behavior and depression. Cognitive behavioral therapy has a solid theoretical foundation, has been researched and practiced effectively in clients with depression and suicidal ideation, and can be easily applied in clinical psychology practice.
