10. Summary of the thesis results:

Research on the application of information technology in hotel management in general, and two-star hotels in Nha Trang in particular, is a necessary research direction given current practices. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

Firstly, this paper provides an overview of the theoretical aspects of applying information technology in hotel management, as well as some lessons learned from applying information technology in hotel management worldwide and in Vietnam.

Secondly, the thesis has analyzed and preliminarily evaluated the application of information technology in the management of 33 two-star hotels in Nha Trang. It focuses on analyzing and evaluating this activity in depth at five hotels with good ratings on booking.com and agoda.com, thereby providing an assessment of the advantages and limitations of applying information technology to the management of two-star hotels in Nha Trang.

Thirdly, the study analyzed the fundamental barriers to applying information technology in the management of 2-star hotels, such as barriers related to awareness, personnel, and technological development in the era of Industry 4.0. Based on this analysis, solutions were proposed to improve the effectiveness of applying information technology in 2-star hotel management. These recommendations can contribute to the improvement of hotel management in 2-star hotels in Nha Trang and serve as a reference for management agencies in revising, supplementing, and perfecting policies on information technology application in the future.

11. Practical applications:

Based on the results of practical research on the application of information technology in hotel management at several 2-star hotels in Nha Trang, this study contributes to identifying obstacles and shortcomings in the application of information technology in hotel management at these hotels, as well as sharing practical experiences in the locality to further improve this activity and enhance the quality of service for tourists.

This thesis is an essential reference document not only for tourism management agencies and hotel businesses, but also a specialized document for teaching, learning, and scientific research in the field of tourism and hospitality at educational institutions in our country.

12. Future research directions:

Further research will be conducted on the application of information technology in the management of accommodation establishments with less than 2 stars or homestays to improve hotel management efficiency and enhance the quality of service for tourists.

Researching on the application of information technology in hotel management in general and two-star hotels in Nha Trang in particular is a necessary topic with the current situation. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

Firstly, found out the theoretical overview of the application of information technology in hotel management as well as some lessons learned when applying information technology in hotel management activities over the world and in Vietnam.

Secondly, analyzed and preliminarily assessed the application of information technology in managing 33 2-star hotels in Nha Trang. Focusing on analyzing and evaluating this activity in 5 hotels with good reviews on booking.com and agoda.com, then make recommendations about the advantages and limitations in applying technology information in 2 star hotel management activities in Nha Trang.

Thirdly, analyze the basic barriers when applying information technology in 2-star hotel management such as lack of awareness, personnel, technology development in the 4.0 era. Since then, the thesis has proposed some solutions to improve the efficiency of the application of information technology in 2-star hotel management. These recommendations may be partly fulfill the management function in the 2-star hotels in Nha Trang and also be a reference for management authorities according to amend, supplement and complete the policy on information technology application in the near future.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

From the results of practical research on the application of information technology in hotel management in some 2-star hotels in Nha Trang, this thesis contributes to discovering problems and concerns in the application of information technology in hotel management at some of 2-star hotels in Nha Trang, as well as finding out the local practical experience to improve this activity and increase the quality of tourist service.

The thesis is a necessary reference not only for tourism management authorities, hotel enterprises but also a monograph for tourism-hotel teaching, learning and scientific research in our educational school.

12. Further research directions, if any:

Continue to research on the application of information technology in the management of under 2-star accommodation or homestay in order to improve the efficiency of hotel management activities and enhance the quality of tourist service.
