Summary of thesis results: Bao Ninh is one of the outstanding typical writers of Vietnamese literature in the post-1975 period. Bao Ninh participated in the resistance war from a very young age and wholeheartedly served the sacred struggle of the nation. After peace was restored, he embarked on a writing career. Bao Ninh's works are not numerous, but he has achieved success both domestically and internationally. Yet, to date, research on Bao Ninh's works, although achieving important results, has only been conducted in a localized manner, limited by genre or subject matter. It can be said that this thesis is one of the first studies to systematically address the entirety of Bao Ninh's works. This will certainly contribute to a more comprehensive and profound understanding of Bao Ninh's writings. 11. Practical applications: This thesis makes a certain contribution to the study of Vietnamese narrative prose during the Doi Moi (Renovation) period in particular and modern Vietnamese narrative prose in general. 12.
