Our research on social capital in youth career choice reveals that young people access and utilize social capital from the social groups they belong to before making a career decision. Furthermore, the process of accessing and utilizing social capital differs between urban and rural areas. This thesis assesses the important role of social capital in youth career choice and proposes solutions to help young people leverage social capital within their groups to make informed career decisions.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:

After studying about young people's social knowledge in deciding their occupation, we found out that during occupation decision, young people have approached and made use of their social knowledge from social groups of which they are members prior to making their own decision. Meanwhile, young people in 2 different areas (urban and rural) have different ways of approaching and making use of social knowledge. This thesis evaluates the importance of social knowledge for young people's in deciding of occupation, at the same time, it gives recommendations in order for young people to make the most of social knowledge which they grasped from those social groups where they belong to in deciding occupation.
