University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU

The seminar sharing the research results of the same name was jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stifung (KAS) and was held on the morning of September 24, 2024 in Hanoi.

After graduating with a master's degree, students are able to analyze policy systems and interdisciplinary knowledge as a basis for implementing research activities and policy consulting in accordance with legal practices and the context of Vietnamese social life in a global environment.

Many initiatives in cooperation and support for students and lecturers of Korean Studies at VNU-USSH were discussed and agreed upon during the meeting between the school leaders and representatives of the Korea Foundation for International Exchange.

On September 19, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in collaboration with the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences successfully organized a scientific seminar with the theme "Area Studies in the Era of (De)Globalization - Perspectives from the Past and the Future". At the same time, this is also an opportunity for VNU-USSH to express gratitude and thank the contributions of Prof. Dr. Vincent Houben after more than 34 years of working at the University.

On September 18, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi organized a consultation session on oral health care and presented gifts to new students of VNU-USSH. "Shine confidently with new students of VNU-USSH" is the theme of the program but also the goal that teachers and experts from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities wish for: to give students knowledge and companionship so that they can smile confidently with bright, healthy teeth.

On September 17, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) organized an international scientific conference on "Opportunities and challenges for stability and development of the Indo-Pacific region".

Promoting the tradition of humanity, mutual love and support, the staff and lecturers of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) have carried out many activities towards the people in the northern provinces that were heavily affected by the recent storm and storm circulation No. 3.

This is one of the key cooperation contents agreed upon by the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Hainan University, China in a meeting on the afternoon of September 13, 2024 in Hanoi.

On the evening of September 8, 2024, at the Hanoi Opera House, at the Closing Ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Honor Day 2024 and the Dear Vietnamese Language Gala Program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs honored 5 overseas Vietnamese in Japan, Germany, Australia and Algeria as Vietnamese Language Ambassadors in 2024. Mr. Nguyen The Duong (currently living in Australia) is one of the 5 honored ambassadors.

On September 9, 2024, Mr. Sandeep Arya - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam - received and discussed work with Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

Pursuant to the Regulations on doctoral training at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued together with Decision No. 3638/QD-VNU dated October 21, 2022; amended and supplemented according to Decision No. 2458 dated June 5, 2024 of the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) promulgates the doctoral training schedule as follows:

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 86/CD-TTg dated September 3, 2024 of the Prime Minister on urgently deploying response to storm No. 3 (International name: Yagi) and according to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 3 will continue to strengthen, this is a storm forecast to be very strong, with a very high possibility of directly affecting the Northern region and Hanoi City. From August 27 to 31, 2024, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) led a delegation of the University to visit and work with the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Kingdom of Thailand, Mahidol University, Thammasat University, Institute of East Asian Studies and Faculty of Liberal Arts (under Thammasat University), Institute of Language and Culture Studies (under Mahidol University), Vietnamese Association in Bangkok and General Association of Vietnamese in Thailand (headquartered in Mukdahan province, Thailand).
