On October 18, 2024, the International Conference on Knowledge Management: Leadership and Innovation (ICKM2024) was held in Ho Chi Minh City. The conference was jointly organized by the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USS), the Faculty of Library and Information Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Southern University Library Association. The ICKM2024 conference was part of a collaborative effort to enhance scientific research activities between the two universities.

On October 16, 2024, in the auditorium on the 8th floor of building E, faculty members and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities enjoyed the film "Life in the Sand" - one of the outstanding works of Vietnamese cinema - and listened to discussions on the topic of "Women in Films in the Post-War Era". The event was organized by the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Department of Art Studies, Faculty of Literature.

This is the objective of a series of skills training sessions for all students of cohorts K66, K67, K68, and K69 on October 16, 18, 23, and 25, 2025, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH). This is one of the activities aimed at enhancing students' understanding and sense of responsibility regarding fire prevention and control, and mastering some basic skills to respond to fire and explosion situations.

On October 16, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), received a delegation from the Institute of Contemporary China and Asia, Russian Academy of Sciences, led by Professor Dr. Babaev Kirill, Director, who visited and signed a cooperation agreement with the University.

Today, October 7, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), visited Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and interacted with students on the topic of "Positioning Vietnam in the Smart Age - A Vision for the Young Generation" at the Nguyen Van Dao Auditorium.

The book "The British East India Company in Tonkin (1672-1697)" by author Hoang Anh Tuan was first published in the Thang Long Millennium Cultural Heritage Book Series in 2010 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi. In the 2024 reprint, Hanoi Publishing House, together with the author, reviewed and edited the information, and continued to supplement research results, aiming to provide readers with a relatively comprehensive and up-to-date study of Tonkin during the latter half of the 17th century. The book was officially launched at the 9th Hanoi Book Fair in 2024 (September 27-29).

On the morning of October 1st, 2024, representatives from HSE St. Petersburg University held a meeting with Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) to discuss cooperation in faculty exchange and scientific research.
