11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án: 

• Luận án là công trình khoa học đầu tiên ở Việt Nam nghiên cứu về quốc tế hoá giáo dục đại học ở Việt Nam trong giai đoạn 2001 – 2020. 
• Trên cơ sở làm rõ khung lý thuyết và bối cảnh thực tiễn của quốc tế, khu vực tác động đến quá trình quốc tế hoá giáo dục đại học ở Việt Nam, luận án tập trung phân tích những chính sách và thực trạng triển khai các hoạt động quốc tế hóa giáo dục đại học tại Việt Nam giai đoạn 2001 – 2020, đặc biệt trên cấp độ quốc gia. Kết quả của luận án góp phần bổ sung đánh giá toàn diện về những kết quả đã đạt được, cũng như những tồn tại, thách thức đối với quá trình quốc tế hoá giáo dục đại học ở Việt Nam. Từ đó đưa ra một số khuyến nghị thúc đẩy quá trình này trong thời gian tới.

12. Các hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo: Tác giả sẽ tiếp tục nghiên cứu về quá trình quốc tế hoá giáo dục đại học tại Việt Nam trong thời gian tới, đặc biệt là trong bối cảnh sau đại dịch COVID-19, khi tình hình trong khu vực và thế giới đã có những biến động mới, phức tạp hơn, và có những đòi hỏi mới hơn.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
• The research is the first scientific work in Vietnam to study the internationalization of higher education in Vietnam in the period time 2001 – 2020.
• The thesis has clarified the theoretical framework and practical basis (including different levels of context: global, regional, and national) that impact the process of implementing the internationalization of higher education in Vietnam. From a theoretical and practical perspective, systematic and comprehensive research has been conducted on analyzing the policies and implementation of internationalization of higher education in Vietnam in the period 2001-2020, especially at the national level. Based on the analysis and comprehensive assessment of the achieved results, as well as the existing problems and challenges of implementing the internationalization of higher education in Vietnam, the thesis has proposed some recommendations for Vietnam in order to promote this process in the future.
12. Further research directions: The author will continue to study the internationalization of higher education in Vietnam in the future, especially in the context of the post-COVID-19 pandemic, when the situation in the region and the world has seen many new and complex changes.
