With the research topic: The Identity of the "Commentary - Criticism" segment of People's Television, this thesis aims to further explore issues related to television theory and the practical aspects of producing television programs in general and political commentary programs in particular; thereby drawing lessons learned in building formats and organizing production, and proposing solutions to improve the quality of the segment in the future.

Furthermore, the author hopes that this thesis will serve as a reference for research related to the production of political commentary television programs for People's Television.

Chapter I of the thesis provided an overview of the general theoretical basis and theoretical issues related to the genre of political commentary and television commentary.

Chapter II of the thesis examined the current state of the "Commentary - Criticism" section (aspects of content and form). Based on the survey and analysis, the thesis pointed out the advantages and limitations of the section.

Chapter III of the thesis presents several solutions and recommendations to improve the quality of the "Commentary - Criticism" section. These solutions are specifically proposed for the Nhan Dan Newspaper, Nhan Dan Television, and the specialized department responsible for producing the section.

11. Practical applications:

With this topic, the thesis hopes to contribute to a richer and more comprehensive understanding of the research situation regarding activities related to the production of television programs in our country today in general, and programs related to the commentary genre in particular.

Further research is needed on the genre of political commentary in television.

With the research title: Character of “Comment – ​​Criticism” column of People's Television, the thesis wants to learn more about issues related to television theory and reality of TV show production in general and TV shows belonging to type of a political commentary in particular; then infer experience lessons in format development and production organization and also propose solutions for column quality improvement in the future time.

In addition, the author also hopes that the thesis will be a reference for research activities related to TV shows belonging to type of a political commentary of People's Television.

In the 1^stchapter, the thesis generalizes common theoretical bases of theoretical issues in relation to the type of a political commentary on television.

In the 2^ndchapter, the thesis surveys the reality of the reality of Character of “Comment – ​​Criticism” column (aspects of content and form characteristics). Based on survey and analysis, the thesis has shown strength and shortcoming of the column.

In the 3^rdchapter, the thesis gives some solutions and recommendation on quality improvement of the Character of “Comment – ​​Criticism” column. The solutions are directly submitted to People's Newspaper, People's Television and specialized production division of the column.

With this title, the thesis is hoped to make the richer and more comprehensive contribution to research situation in relation to production of TV shows in general and TV shows belonging to type of a political commentary in particular in Vietnam.
