The thesis analyzes and highlights the current situation in India-ASEAN relations, India-Vietnam relations within the framework of the “Look East Policy” from 1991 to 2014. From there, conclusions are drawn on the impact of India-ASEAN relations on ASEAN and the Asia-Pacific region through the presence of major powers and regional security structures. In addition, the thesis also updates the new situation in India-ASEAN relations since India upgraded its “Look East Policy” to “Act East” and assesses the impact of that relationship on the regional security structure in the US-China-India triangle.

Provide information on the current status and impact of India's relations with ASEAN on ASEAN countries and the situation in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in the new international context, thereby making recommendations on the direction of future development of relations.

Continue to upgrade the research direction to evaluate new developments from "Eastward policy" to "Eastward action" in policy content as well as bilateral relations.
