Clarifying the current status of social assistance for the elderly in the fields of health care assistance, material assistance, spiritual assistance, assistance in daily activities... from the community and from the local government in Vinh Ngoc commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

Analyze the causes leading to limitations in social assistance for the elderly by the community as well as by social policy officials in Vinh Ngoc commune, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.

On that basis, propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of social assistance for the elderly in the community to help the elderly have a better spiritual and material life.

The research has high applicability in intervention - support from family, community and society for the elderly to have a better material and spiritual life.
