Firstly: This thesis researches and presents an overview of the Cao Lan ethnic group in Luc Son commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province.
Secondly: The thesis systematically presents the traditional marriage rituals (from 1986 onwards) of the Cao Lan people in Luc Son commune, Luc Nam district, Bac Giang province.
Thirdly: Based on research into the traditional marriage rituals of the Cao Lan people, the author explores the changes in marriage in the current period, identifies the characteristics and causes of these changes, and makes an initial assessment of the trends in marriage changes in the next phase.
11. Practical applications:
Through this research, which presents traditional marriage rituals and the changes in marriage practices in the present era, policymakers and administrators can propose solutions to preserve and promote the value of traditional Cao Lan marriage rituals. From this, they can develop a model of marriage that harmoniously combines tradition and modernity, in line with the demands of contemporary society.
This thesis will serve as a reference document for teaching and learning about local history for teachers and students in high schools in Bac Giang province.
12. Future research directions:
Continue researching the factors that influence and change marriage rituals, and explore the constants and variables in the marriage ceremonies of the Cao Lan ethnic group in Bac Giang in particular and Vietnam in general in the next phase.

Continueing to study the factors that influence the change of the marriage ritual finding out the constants and variations in marriage ritual of Cao Lan people in Bac Giang and in Viet Nam next time.
