Based on real situation of drug detoxification through replacement of matter in form of addiction by methadone in Vietnam in general and in Quang Ninh particularly; Topic regarding an assessment of real situation of drug detoxification and drug addicts when participating in methadone program at methadone treatment offices, Cam Pha Health Center. Thanks to knowledge, skills learned and these were applied for individual social work in order to help drug addicts to participate in methadone program. The topic therefore highlights a number of solutions in assistance for drug addicts to participate in methadone program at methadone treatment offices, Cam Pha Health Center.

11. Feasibility of the thesis:

By the research in the reality it is affirmed that the role of social work sector, social staff is a great need for people in disadvantaged positions, including drug addicts; Strengthen efficiency in individual social work for drug addicts at groundswell level in order to develop professional social work system from groundswells level.
