- Communication about the 4.0 industrial revolution (revolution 4.0) is a new research topic, surveyed on electronic newspapers - a new type of journalism that has been developing strongly.

- The thesis conducted a survey of information about the 4.0 revolution on three electronic newspapers: VnExpress, VietnamPlus, and Development Science within a period of one year (2017); conducted in-depth interviews with leaders of electronic newspapers, reporters, and those in charge of information about the 4.0 revolution; interviewed a number of readers, thereby making initial assessments of the information work on the 4.0 revolution, and at the same time pointing out the successes, limitations, and causes of the successes and limitations of electronic newspapers in communication activities about the 4.0 revolution.

- From the results of the survey and sociological investigation, the Thesis proposes solutions to improve the effectiveness of communication about the 4.0 revolution on electronic newspapers, focusing on solutions on policy mechanisms; on training human resources for information activities about the 4.0 revolution.
