10. Summary of the thesis results:

- This thesis clarifies the foundations for trade relations between Vietnam and China during the period 2010-2016. Specifically, political and diplomatic relations, cooperation in culture, sports and tourism, and cooperation regarding border and territorial issues served as prerequisites and laid the groundwork for the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries. Furthermore, over 30 agreements and memoranda of understanding on economic and trade signed between the governments, several central ministries and agencies, and local authorities of both countries provided the legal basis for Vietnam-China trade relations during the 2010-2016 period.

- The thesis provides a detailed analysis of the trade situation between the two countries during the period 2010-2016, based on data collected from the General Department of Customs and specialized journals. Through this, the author clearly identifies the reasons leading to the consistently unbalanced trade balance between the two countries, specifically the tendency to favor China. The author also assesses the impact of Vietnam-China trade on Vietnam's socio-economic development.

- Based on that, the thesis has identified opportunities and challenges in the future trade relationship between Vietnam and China, proposing policy solutions and specific measures to reduce the trade deficit, balance the bilateral trade balance, and mitigate the negative impacts of Chinese investment in Vietnam. The author also boldly proposes several directions to adjust the trade balance between the two countries in the coming time.

- The thesis explains the basis for the trade relations between Vietnam and China in the period of 2010-2016. structure, political-diplomatic relations, cooperation relations in cultural, sport and tourism and cooperation on border and territory are prerequisites, laying the foundation for the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries. In addition, more than 30 agreements on economic and trade cooperation have been signed between the two governments, a number of ministries and departments at all levels of the two countries are the legal basis for the Vietnam-China trade relations in the period of 2010-2016.
