10. Summarize the results in the thesis:

Based on theoretical and practical research on stress in 12th-grade students before the National High School Graduation Examination, this research topic examines stress in 12th-grade students before the exam in terms of its manifestations through negative emotions such as anxiety and depression; analyzes how 12th-grade students cope with stress; and identifies some factors influencing stress in 12th-grade students before the National High School Graduation Examination.

The level of anxiety and depression among 12th-grade students increases over time: the closer it gets to the exam, the more anxious and depressed they become. When dealing with these negative emotions, most students use positive coping mechanisms or avoidance, but a small number still use negative coping mechanisms.

Support from parents, teachers, and friends influences stress levels among 12th-grade students before the National High School Graduation Exam. While parental and teacher support can lead to more positive coping mechanisms, this increased attention can also exacerbate negative emotions.

The research findings in this thesis serve as a useful reference for teachers, parents, educators, and psychologists regarding stress experienced by 12th-grade students before the National High School Graduation Examination.

8. Major: Psychology Code: 60.31.04.01

9. Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thu Huong

10. Summary of these results:

Grounded on practical and theoretical researches about the stress which is experienced by grade twelve students before the national higher secondary examination, this thesis dwelves on many subjects such as students' anxiety, lack of motivation, methods to deal with stress and factors which affect stress.

The level of stress and despondency in terms of outward expression increases with time: the less time students have until the exam, the more stressful students experience. When dealing with such negative emotions, most students adopt an optimistic approach or avoidance; however, there is still a small number of students handling stress with a negative attitude.

The support of parents, teachers and friends proves to have a significant impact on the stress affected by grade twelve students. When there is more support and attention from parents and teachers, students tend to adopt a positive approach to stress; However, the same attention can also intensify the negative emotions relating to stress.

11. Practical applicability:

The result of this thesis is a useful reference for high school teachers, parents, educators and psychologists who focus on the stress caused by grade twelve students.

12. Further research directions, if any:

If there is a favorable condition and sufficient amount of time, we would like to continue looking further into emotional abnormality of grade twelve students before the national higher secondary examination.
