The Thesis has assesses the factors that influence US policy towards Iran over the period of 2009 - 2020. These factors are seen from two angles: internal and external factors.

The Thesis has outlined and analyzed the goals and implementation of US policies toward Iran of different US presidents, focusing on Obama and Trump administration. For Obama administration, besides the thoroughness and continuity of policies in two terms, the thesis assesses the success, results and comparison of policies in the two terms.
