The thesis has assessed the factors affecting the US policy towards Iran in the period 2009 to present. These factors are viewed from two perspectives: internal factors and external factors.

The thesis has outlined and analyzed the goals and policy orientations of the US Presidents towards Iran, focusing on the two US Presidents Obama and Trump.
