- The thesis has systematized the Party's viewpoints, the State's policies, and the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee's policies on youth work from 1997 to 2013. Through studying the policies and practical activities of the Bac Giang Party Committee on youth work, we can see the important role of youth in the overall development of the whole province during the period of industrialization and modernization.

- The thesis also points out the achievements, limitations and draws some experiences in the youth work of the Bac Giang Party Committee in the period 1997-2013.

- The thesis is a document contributing to the study of local history, especially the history of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, the history of the Youth Union and the youth movement in Bac Giang.

Through the study of guidelines, policies and operational practices of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee to the youth affairs, it is obvious to see the important roles of the youth for the general development of the whole province in the period of industrialization and modernization.
