10. Summary of the thesis results:

"Key to Success – CEO" is a business television program with a 10-year history on VTV1, Vietnam Television. The program has a 100% Vietnamese format and has undergone five format changes throughout its run. To date, "Key to Success – CEO" has become a reputable business television program, widely recognized and embraced by the business community and entrepreneurs. The program not only serves as a companion for Vietnamese entrepreneurs in their business and integration processes but also reflects the development of the national economy from 2005 to 2015.

With the research topic "Characteristics of the TV program 'Key to Success - CEO'", this thesis focuses on studying the characteristics of the program throughout different periods. From this, it identifies the successes and limitations of the program in order to contribute to improving the quality of economic television programs in general and 'Key to Success - CEO' in particular.

Chapter 1 of this thesis focuses on systematizing the theoretical and practical foundations of television program production in general. From there, the author clarifies concepts related to the topic such as: "television," "television program," "television game show," "television dialogue," "television special," and "reality television." In addition, the thesis addresses other issues in television such as: stage elements, production methods, production implementation, the current state of the socialization of television programs at Vietnam Television, and experiences in producing television programs in foreign formats.

Chapter 2 of the thesis focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the "Key to Success - CEO" program through five formats that have changed over time. The author delves into analyzing the format, content, and form of each version and provides comments and evaluations. From there, the entire historical process, circumstances of origin, format, content, and form of each version are thoroughly researched and analyzed. The characteristics and features of each version have been specifically identified and analyzed by the author.

Chapter 3 of this thesis focuses on identifying, analyzing, and evaluating the successes and limitations of the "Key to Success - CEO" program. It also identifies the causes and proposes solutions to improve the program's quality and effectiveness in the future. From this, lessons learned are drawn regarding the development of formats, production organization, and the development of television programs related to economics.

The greatest achievement for the author of this thesis – who is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the "Key to Success – CEO" program – is that this research is truly meaningful because it helps the author systematize basic knowledge about television and relate it to the practical aspects of program production. The author has identified the strengths and weaknesses of the program and gained new ideas for future production activities. From there, together with colleagues, we will continue to research, explore, and innovate so that the program continues to be well-received by viewers and beneficial to the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs.

11. Practical applications:

This thesis is the first to study the characteristics of the "Key to Success – CEO" program. The results of this study are significant in contributing to the development of the theoretical framework of television and television programs, especially economic television programs. It can be considered a reference document for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in journalism, communication, and television. Furthermore, the results of this thesis will have a positive and useful impact on television program producers in building and developing program formats, particularly for television programs with a purely Vietnamese format.

12. Future research directions:

If conditions permit, this thesis could open up many avenues for further research on the program, such as: program production methods, methods for building a purely Vietnamese program format, program content, and methods for socializing the program…

10. Result summary of the thesis:

“CEO – The key to success”, is a special economic TV program which has been broadcast on the VTV1 channel of the National Television broadcasting system of Vietnam for 10 consecutive years. The program is a pure Vietnamese-format TV program and has undertook many changes in formats over the years. The format of today's program, “CEO – The key to success” has now become a prestigious economic TV program which is always entrepreneurs and business community's favorites over the decade. The program is not only a trustedcompanyfor Vietnamese entrepreneurs during their business operations and integration period but also reflects the economic development of the country during the 2000-2015 period.

The research topic ofCharacteristics of “CEO – The key to success” programhas been chosen to discuss in details the characteristics of the program over the periods. Since, the successes and limitations of the program have been clarified in order to enhance the quality of the economic TV programs in general and this program in particular.

Part 1 of the thesis focused on systematizing theoretical basis and practice of producing TV programs in Vietnam in general. Thus, the author will clearly clarify such definitions regarding the thesis's topic as: “television”, “TV programs”, “TV game shows”, “TV talk shows”, “TV reports” and “reality TV shows”. Besides, the thesis also mentioned many other dilemmas such as: stage elements, production methods, production implementation, socialization practice of TV programs produced at VTV (the National Television of Vietnam) as well as experiences of producing foreign-formatted TV programs.

Part 2 of the thesis focuses on analyzing characteristics of the chosen program through 5 formats changed over the years. The author analyzed its characteristics, contents and forms of individual formats, then gave comments and evaluations on each format changed. The whole history of the program as well as its formats and contents of every single format have been researched and analyzed thoroughly. Such characteristics of each single format, then clarified and analyzed carefully.

Part 3 of the thesis focuses on finding, analyzing and assessing successes and limitations of the program. It also gave reasons and proposed solutions to enhance the program's quality and effectiveness in the future. As a result, experimental lessons have been drawn to constructing better formats, better production organization and development of future economic-related TV programs.

The most important result has been gained by the Editorial Chief Board of the program is that: this is a really meaningful research paper as it helps the author effectively systematized basic knowledge of television in general and connected with the practice of TV program production. The author realized the good things and bad things of the program as well as came up with new ideas for the future. Therefore, the author will keep researching and thinking up new developments to continue receiving the audience's cares and interests.

11. Applicability in reality:

This thesis is the very first one that has been researched about the characteristics of “CEO-the key to success” program. The thesis's results play an important role in supplementing and developing theoretical system on television industry and other economic TV programs. Also, this can be considered as a good reference for teaching university students and graduates in journalism, media and television majors. Consequently, the thesis's results will have positive impacts on TV program producers in developing TV program's formats, especially pure Vietnamese TV programs.
