The thesis researches to clarify the reality of domestic violence and the difficulties that social workers face in assisting women who are victims of domestic violence in Cao Xanh ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province. This thesis also clearly presents the method of students using the knowledge and skills they have learned into practical application to build a personal social work process including guidance and assistance to women who are victims of domestic violence in this area. On that basis, students develop policies including connecting with relevant agencies, implementing initial assistance and then proposing solutions to help women reduce or overcome difficulties in their daily lives from material, spiritual, health treatment to restoring the operation of their social functions.

Through practical research, the student's thesis presents and affirms the important role of the social work profession. This thesis researched to clarify the domestic violent situation and its difficulties, where social workers have faced, in supporting women who suffer from domestic violence in Cao Xanh Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. The skills, at the same time, also clearly presented the techniques in which the researcher has applied her knowledge and obtained from University for development of a process of social works in order to provide guides and support for women in Cao Xanh Ward. On that basis, researchers created a procedure manual policy consisting of linkages with other relevant deployment organizations, initial support and produce of proposal solutions that aim to reduce or help women to overcome their daily difficulties from materials, mentality, and medical treatment to restoration of their other functions in the society.

Through empirical research, the thesis presented and confirmed pressing roles of the social work industry. Especially, it emphasizes on the essential needs of women and children, duties and responsibilities of social workers for hazardous groups.
