This thesis presents a scientific and elucidated historical context influencing the anti-bandit campaign of the Viet Bac Inter-Regional Party Committee from 1949 to 1956, as well as the process by which the Viet Bac Inter-Regional Party Committee led this campaign. Based on the results achieved, it identifies the fundamental strengths and weaknesses of the Viet Bac Inter-Regional Party Committee's leadership in this campaign from 1949 to 1956 and draws some lessons for the next phase.
