10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis provides an overview of the factors affecting Vietnam-Japan economic relations and the current state of Vietnam's economic relations with Japan before 1996; it clarifies the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam on developing Vietnam's foreign economic relations with Japan from 1996 to 2010 through two periods, 1996–2000 and 2001–2010, in the main areas of trade relations, investment cooperation, and development aid from Japan to Vietnam. Simultaneously, based on the practical experience of Vietnam-Japan economic relations, the thesis offers some observations on the advantages and limitations and draws some lessons learned, contributing to improving the effectiveness of economic relations between the two countries in the new context.

This thesis can serve as a reference for studying and researching the Vietnamese Communist Party's policies on economic integration and the economic relationship between Vietnam and Japan.

This thesis serves as a foundation and direction for research on the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in economic relations between Vietnam and Japan in subsequent periods.

Thesis presented an overview of the factors affecting economic relations of Vietnam – Japan and the state of economic relations between Vietnam and Japan before 1996; clarify guidelines and policies of the communist Party of Vietnam in developing external economic relations of Vietnam with Japan from 1996 to 2010 in two phases from 1996 to 2000 and from 2001 to 2010 in the areas of home weak: trade, investment cooperation and development assistance of Japan with Vietnam. Similtaneously, from the practical and economic relations of Vietnam with Japan, the thesis has made some comments on the advantages, limitations and draw up some experience contributing to improving the efficiency of economic relations between the two countries in the new situation.
