This thesis clarifies the role of cultural diplomacy and the factors influencing cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and the European Union (EU); presents the Party's policy and the process of the Party's direction of Vietnam's cultural diplomacy activities with the European Union (EU) from 2000 to 2014 through two periods: 2000-2005 and 2006-2014; based on historical practice, the thesis offers some observations on the advantages and limitations and draws four valuable lessons that can contribute to promoting the increasingly effective development of Vietnam's cultural diplomacy activities.

The master thesis clarifies the role of cultural diplomacy and the factors affecting the cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and the European Union (EU). It also presents the policy and the process Communist Party of Vietnam in directing activities of cultural diplomacy between Vietnam and the European Union (EU) from 2000 to 2014 in two phases: 2000-2005 and 2006-2014. From historical reality, the thesis gives some comments on the advantages, limitations and given four experiences with the reference value, contributing to cultural diplomacy activities of Vietnam.
