The research results show that 12th-grade students in Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province, have a fairly clear understanding of several aspects related to career motivation, such as: the concept of a profession, career motivation; manifestations of career motivation; factors influencing career choice decisions; difficulties in choosing a profession; consequences of incorrectly identifying career motivation; and solutions to help form appropriate career motivation. However, there are also some areas where students still have a poor understanding, such as: the level of knowledge about profession information; and the necessary steps to prepare for career choice. Furthermore, when considering different types of schools, we found that students in public schools have clearer career motivations than students in private schools.
