10. Summary of the thesis results:
Psychological support for individuals undergoing compulsory mental health treatment is a pressing issue that requires attention. These individuals, during a period of mental illness, have committed dangerous acts with serious consequences, particularly serious according to the law. After treatment, when their mental condition stabilizes and compulsory treatment is no longer required, patients often exhibit anxiety, fearing accountability for their dangerous actions. When anxiety arises, patients may fall into a state of panic, even self-harm. Providing psychological support to stabilize their mental state, reduce anxiety, and prepare them for reintegration into society is crucial and necessary.
The research results show that: After psychological support, clients responded quite well to the psychotherapy techniques, meeting the initial goals set by the psychologist after assessing the problem. Clients reduced self-harming behaviors and thoughts, decreased anxiety symptoms, and coped appropriately with anxiety-inducing situations.
11. Practical applicability: Based on the results of theoretical and practical research in clinical cases, this thesis has contributed to demonstrating the necessity and effectiveness of psychological support for individuals undergoing compulsory mental health treatment.
