10. Summary of thesis results: Social anxiety disorder is common in the community but is underrecognized and has not received sufficient attention or treatment. This study provides an overview of social anxiety disorder and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy as an intervention. This is one of the researched methods that has shown effectiveness in intervening in social anxiety disorder.
The research results showed that the clients experienced reduced anxiety and were able to participate in social interactions, indicating that cognitive behavioral therapy yielded certain results: clients restructured their perceptions, perceived their self-worth, and reduced anxiety when interacting with strangers. In addition, clients gained knowledge and skills in regulating emotions, improved communication skills, and strengthened social relationships.
11. Practical applicability: The results of theoretical and practical research in clinical cases have contributed to demonstrating the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in intervening with individuals exhibiting social anxiety disorders.
