10. Summary of the thesis results:

This thesis summarizes the main activities of foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam in raising awareness about climate change among the people and government agencies; especially the issue of adaptation and response to climate change for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups such as women, farmers, and children... during the period 1994-2017. From this, it emphasizes the role of raising awareness about climate change in effectively adapting to and responding to the increasingly serious climate change in Vietnam, because only when awareness is raised can people change their behavior.

11. Practical applications:

Raising awareness is a long-term process that requires patience from all stakeholders; the joint efforts and coordination of many relevant departments and organizations in addressing the impacts of climate change. Therefore, based on the results of this thesis, foreign non-governmental organizations need to continue strengthening their awareness-raising activities to sustainably and long-term address other related issues (poverty reduction, gender equality, etc.).

Assessing the role of foreign non-governmental organizations in changing perceptions of climate change in northern/southern Vietnam.

The thesis summarizes the main activities of International non-governmental organizations in Vietnam in raising awareness of climate change to people, agencies. In particular, the issue of adaptation and response to climate change of vulnerable, disadvantaged groups such as women, farmers and children... in the period of 1994 - 2017. The role of climate change awareness will be highly effective in addressing and responding to climate change that is occurring more and more seriously in Vietnam because only when awareness is enhanced people change their behavior.

Awareness is a long process requiring patience of the parties involved; the cooperation and coordination of various agencies and organizations involved in dealing with the impacts of climate change. As a result of the thesis, International non-governmental organizations should continue to intensify their awareness raising activities to address sustainability and long-term issues related to poverty reduction, gender equality…).
