- Based on the theoretical framework of cultural diplomacy, this study presents an overview of China's cultural diplomacy policy from 2004 to the present; and positions the Confucius Institute within the overall framework of China's cultural diplomacy policy.

- Identify the organizational structure of the Confucius Institute; the methods by which the Confucius Institute implements activities to enhance the effectiveness of cultural diplomacy through language dissemination, promoting cultural exchange, and publicizing China's image in host countries.

- An assessment of the successes and limitations of the Confucius Institute in implementing China's cultural diplomacy policy worldwide.

- This section introduces the Confucius Institute in Vietnam and proposes some strategies for managing and supervising the Confucius Institute in Vietnam.

This thesis can be used as a reference for studies related to Chinese cultural diplomacy and the Confucius Institute in China.
