10. Summary of thesis results:

- Closely following the research axis oriented by the topic, from the theoretical basis of journalism, the thesis has analyzed, synthesized, interpreted and built a theoretical basis related to the research problem, which is the issue of immigrant workers in Vietnamese electronic newspapers.

- Based on the theoretical issues that have been developed, the thesis has surveyed and evaluated the current status of information on press works on the issue of migrant workers in electronic newspapers. The results of the survey of public feedback and in-depth interviews with reporters, editors and leaders of press agencies are the basis for proposals and solutions.

- Based on the theoretical and practical bases that have been researched and surveyed, the thesis makes specific proposals and recommendations to promote the strengths and overcome the limitations of works on the issue of migrant workers in electronic newspapers. The thesis also contributes and supplements new approaches and methods, suitable for the development trend of modern society to improve the quality of articles. The research results also contribute to the teaching process of current journalism and media theory.

10. Summary of findings (of the thesis):

- Following the research aims of the thesis, based upon the literature of journalism and communication studies, the author has synthesized, analyzed, and established a theoretical framework for the investigation of this topic, ie, current issues related to Vietnamese migrant workers represented by national and local online newspapers.

- Drawing from the above framework, the author has conducted data collection of selected samples of Vietnamese online newspapers which reflects multi faces of migrant workers' lives in the country. Moreover, other methods including survey with target audiences and in-depth interviews with professional journalists have been applied in the thesis to provide further answers to the research questions.

- The research results from literature data collection, survey, and interviews have been carefully considered in the thesis, from which appropriate solutions to the issues were recommended. Regarding its significances, the thesis contributes new perspectives, new approaches in accordance with the present trend of the development in Vietnam in general and in urban issues in particular. For its findings, discussion and suggestions related to the research topic, this thesis also contributes to the training and research on journalism in Vietnam today.

11. Practical applicability:

The research findings are applicable to the production of online news stories related to the topic of migrant workers in Vietnam today. Precisely, Vietnamese reporters, editors and also journalism administrators may find helpful research findings and solutions in the thesis when it comes to the migrant workers' issues. Last but not least, the thesis may become a useful reference in the field of management of urban and migration issues, and in the field of teaching journalism.

12. Further research directions:

Based on these results, further research questions can be developed in terms of further investigation to the role of other media such as television, social media to the knowledge and perception of the society migrants and migrant workers in contemporary Vietnam.
