10. Summary of the thesis results:
Vietnam was one of the first countries in the world to sign international conventions on the realization of women's and children's rights, and the introduction of progressive ideas on gender equality into the family is considered a major step forward, creating a legal framework to enhance the position and role of women in the family. However, achieving gender equality is not easy. A segment of society still misunderstands gender inequality, and prejudiced gender perceptions, such as valuing sons over daughters and assuming that household chores are solely the responsibility of women, persist. Domestic violence continues to increase, causing social instability.
The fundamental reason for this situation is that the media in general, and news organizations, journalists, and editors in particular, lack a complete and in-depth understanding of gender inequality, both theoretically and scientifically.
This situation has raised important questions such as: What are the reasons for the slow progress in gender equality, the continued existence and increasing complexity of gender inequality within families? How can we remove the challenges and barriers to narrow the gender inequality gap? What challenges and limitations does media coverage of gender inequality within families face?
Thesis"The issue of gender inequality in the family (published in Hanoi Women's Newspaper and Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper from 2015-2016)"It is an attempt to contribute in some way to the overall effort to find solutions to these problems.
The thesis is presented in 4 chapters (in addition to the introduction and conclusion).

Also Vietnam introduced families a number of advances in gender equality, which is known as breakthrough especially it has been improving the role of women in the family.
It is not easy to achieve gender equality for several reasons. The first one is there are some social groups still believing in gender bias. For instance, they believe Women belong in the kitchen and Men belong at the office. Another reason is the lack of awareness about gender inequality in terms of theoretical and scientific.
