Based on general overviews of economic, social, cultural conditions and traditional festivals of Dong Anh district, Hanoi city (on some basic aspects such as system and classification, characteristics of traditional festivals, presenting some typical festivals corresponding to the classification), the thesis has pointed out the role of traditional festivals in the material and spiritual life of people in Dong Anh district, Hanoi city in the present period.

From theoretical and practical basis, the thesis also pointed out the changing trend of traditional festivals in Dong Anh district, Hanoi city in the coming time.

The thesis has provided objective assessments on the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional festivals in Dong Anh district, Hanoi city in the current period on both aspects: achievements and existing problems. From there, solutions are proposed to further improve the effectiveness of the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional festivals in Dong Anh district, Hanoi city in the current period.
