Research from an ecological criticism perspective will contribute to a more diverse interdisciplinary viewpoint by placing a literary work in relation to natural issues, thus understanding the relationship and role of literature and art in relation to the ecological environment. From this, we can gain a more complete and comprehensive understanding of the content and artistic value of the work.

If approaching a literary work by genre, the topic is too familiar in literature research, the approach towards ecological criticism is quite a new thing that has not been interested, especially by scholars in Vietnam. Ecological research criticism will add to a more diverse interdisciplinary view when we place a literary work in relation to nature's issues to see the relationship as well as the role of artistic literature with the ecological environment. Since then, there is a more complete and comprehensive view of the content and art value of the work.

The theme "Ecological ambiguity in Pi's Life (Yann Martel)" goes deep into understanding the relationship between people and nature.
