This thesis uses the socialist social work method on poor ethnic minority women to understand their problems and needs, and then works with clients to develop specific plans to solve their problems, support, guide, and connect them with resources to help them improve their lives.
The research objectives are, in particular:
- Clarifying concepts and establishing a theoretical basis for interventions to support poor women through individual social work.
- Identify the client, analyze their needs, and recognize their problems and difficulties. Based on this, apply the socialist social work process to support the client in overcoming socio-psychological difficulties and rising out of poverty.
- Psychological counseling and connecting clients with resources helps them build self-confidence, develop resilience, achieve mental stability, and reintegrate into society.
- Evaluate and assess the results of the intervention and draw lessons for social work activities supporting poverty reduction in the locality.
11. Practical applications:
Through practical research, the student's thesis presents and affirms the important role of social work. It particularly emphasizes the necessary needs, duties, and responsibilities of social workers towards vulnerable groups. Simultaneously, it proposes several methods to improve the effectiveness of individual social work for poor ethnic minority women at the grassroots level; it also subsequently develops a professional social work system at the same level.
