The thesis provides a theoretical basis for information competence. On that basis, it studies the current status of information competence of students at Hanoi Law University, and identifies and evaluates factors affecting students' information competence. Based on the theoretical foundation and practical research, the author proposes the content of the core information competence framework for students at Hanoi Law University. The results of this study can be applied to other universities in Vietnam.

The research results will be developed into the Information Competency course for students of Hanoi Law University.
