This thesis focuses on researching the current state of Koha software application at several university information and library centers in Hanoi. Through examining the features of Koha software, along with research into the current state of its application and the results of surveys conducted among library staff and students at Thang Long University Library, the Information and Documentation Center of the University of Foreign Languages ​​- Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Finance and Banking Library, as well as exploring the support services offered by the software provider, the study aims to establish a scientific basis for objectively evaluating Koha software, including its strengths, weaknesses, suitability, and effectiveness for university information and library services in Hanoi. Based on this, observations, assessments, and proposed solutions and recommendations for improving the Koha software will be presented, promoting the effective application of information technology in the operations of information and library agencies. Simultaneously, feasible solutions will be proposed for improving and enhancing the effectiveness of the Koha software application in information and library activities in general, aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of services for information users.

11. Practical applications:

The research findings of this thesis can be applied at the Information and Library Center of Thang Long University, the University of Finance and Banking, and the Information and Documentation Center of the University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Furthermore, the research content presented in this thesis also serves as a basis for promoting the deployment of the Koha software application in Information and Library Centers.

The thesis focuses on research status of Koha software application in some university's library information center in Hanoi. After looking through Koha's function, with the software application research and the survey result of library officers, Thang Long University students in the library, University of Languages ​​and International Studies' information center and University of Finance and Banking as well as looking for support services of software suppliers, therefore, finding out scientific basis to have objective evaluation about Koha in terms of advantages, disadvantages, suitability and efficiency towards information agency, university's library in Hanoi. Therefrom giving out comments, evaluation and solution, request to complete Koha, promote the application process which has efficiency in information technology in information and library agency operation. Moreover, suggest possible solutions for completing and efficiency enhancing Koha's implementation in the operation of information, library as a whole in order to enhance the quality, services for users.

The research result of the thesis can apply to Thang Long University's information library, University of Finance and Banking and University of Languages ​​and International Studies' information center. Furthermore, the research content that the author implemented in the thesis is also evidence, foundation to enhance the Koha application implementing process to library's information centers.
