Research the topic “Urban life in Hanoi and changes in the renovation period (Comparison with urban life in Seoul, South Korea))” to better understand the urban lifestyle in Hanoi. Hanoi's urban lifestyle was formed and developed very early, this is a unique feature that creates the style of Hanoi's urban people compared to other cities.

Studying the urban lifestyle in Hanoi during the renovation period to see the current lifestyle and on that basis understand which traditional values ​​still exist and which new values ​​are forming in Hanoi's urban life.

The economic development of a country brings about changes in the way people live. There have been new efforts for economic development in Vietnam in 1985 and in Korea in 1986. Thus, the lifestyle of people living in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam and Seoul, the capital of Korea have also changed in many ways compared to before 1986. Through the leap to economic development at similar times in both countries, how has the lifestyle of people in Hanoi, Vietnam and in Seoul, Korea changed? This thesis has investigated the changing trend of urban lifestyle in Hanoi in the future.

The thesis has shown the urban lifestyle of Hanoi and its changes in different periods, which lifestyles are still preserved, which have changed and which have disappeared. From there, we can see the typical characteristics of the lifestyle of Hanoi people in particular and Vietnamese people in general.

The thesis has helped readers see the factors affecting and changes in Hanoi's urban lifestyle during the period when Vietnam implemented the renovation process.

In comparison with Seoul, the thesis shows the similarities and differences between the urban lifestyle of Hanoi and Seoul, thereby helping to exchange and cooperate with each other in preserving and building the urban lifestyle of Hanoi and Seoul.
