The thesis topic, "Research on the Western European tourist market to Vietnam," is a necessary research topic that meets the practical requirements for tourism management and development in our country today. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

Firstly, an overview of the theoretical aspects of the tourism market and tourism market research.

Secondly, the study provides an overview of the global tourism context and situation in recent years, analyzing and evaluating the current state of tourism development in Vietnam in general and the Western European tourist market to Vietnam in particular during the period 2015-2019 through secondary survey data.

Thirdly, using qualitative research methods, numerous expert interviews were conducted to gather opinions from leaders of tourism management agencies and businesses that cater to Western European tourists in all three regions of Vietnam: North, Central, and South. The results of this research supplement and enrich the analysis of secondary documents, providing a practical basis for proposing solutions in the later part of the thesis.

Fourthly, the thesis has proposed several solutions and recommendations for developing the Western European tourist market to Vietnam based on analyses, assessments, and qualitative research results conducted by the author.

11. Practical applications:

The results of this thesis enrich the literature on tourism market research, updating and supplementing the latest information on tourism management and development in our country today. The solutions are practical and can be used as a reference for both state management agencies and businesses in their management and business development activities.

12. Future research directions:

This thesis is a general study of the Western European tourist market to Vietnam; therefore, it cannot fully and thoroughly analyze all the factors influencing Western European tourists' decision to choose Vietnam as their destination. This could be a direction for further research at a higher level of education.

Examining the market of Western European tourists to Vietnam is of practical significance on tourism management and development for Vietnam in the current trend. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

First, review of prior studies on tourism market.

Secondly, generalizing the situation of world tourism in recent years, analyzing and assessing the current situation of Vietnam's tourism development in general and the Western Europe tourist market to Vietnam in the period of 2015 – 2019 in particular through secondary data.

Third, using qualitative research methods by conducting a questionnaire survey of managers in the tourism enterprises which welcome many Western European tourists in the Northern, Central and Southern of Vietnam. The results of this study complement and enrich the secondary data analysis, as a basis for the practice of the proposed solution in the later part of the thesis.

Fourth, the thesis proposes a number of solutions and recommendations to develop the Western Europe tourists market to Vietnam on the basis of the analysis, evaluation and results of the qualitative research done by the writer.

12. Practical applicability:

The results of the thesis enrich the documents on tourist market research, update and supplement the latest information in tourism management and development in Vietnam today. The solutions are practical and they can be consulted for both state management agencies and enterprises in business development and management activities.

13. Further research directions:

The thesis is an overall study of the Western Europe tourists market to Vietnam, so that it is not possible to thoroughly and deeply analyze the factors that affect the decision to choose Vietnam destination of Western Europe tourists. This may be a potential thesis topic at higher education level in the future.
