The thesis topic “Research on the market of Western European tourists to Vietnam” is a necessary research topic, meeting the practical requirements of tourism management and development in our country today. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

One is a theoretical overview of tourism market and tourism market research.

Second, summarize the context and situation of world tourism in recent years, analyze and evaluate the current status of Vietnam's tourism development in general and the Western European tourist market to Vietnam in the period 2015 - 2019 in particular through secondary survey data.

Third, using qualitative research methods, conducting many interviews to collect expert opinions from leaders of tourism management agencies welcoming Western European tourists in all three regions of the North, Central and South. This research result supplements and enriches the results of secondary document analysis, providing a practical basis for proposing solutions in the following part of the thesis.

Fourthly, the thesis has proposed a number of solutions and recommendations to develop the Western European tourist market to Vietnam based on the analysis, evaluation and qualitative research results conducted by the author.

11. Practical application:

The results of the thesis enrich the documents on tourist market research, update and supplement the latest information in tourism management and development in our country today. The solutions are practical and can be referenced for both state management agencies and enterprises in business management and development activities.

12. Further research directions:

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the Western European tourist market to Vietnam, so it is not possible to analyze thoroughly and deeply all the factors affecting the decision to choose Vietnam as a destination of Western European tourists. This could be the next research direction of the topic at a higher level of training.

Examining the market of Western European tourists to Vietnam is of practical significance on tourism management and development for Vietnam in the current trend. Basically, the thesis has achieved the following main research results:

First, review of prior studies on tourism market.

Secondly, generalizing the situation of world tourism in recent years, analyzing and assessing the current situation of Vietnam's tourism development in general and the Western Europe tourist market to Vietnam in the period of 2015 – 2019 in particular through secondary data.

Third, using qualitative research methods by conducting a questionnaire survey of managers in the tourism enterprises which welcome many Western European tourists in the Northern, Central and Southern of Vietnam. The results of this study complement and enrich the secondary data analysis, as a basis for the practice of the proposed solution in the later part of the thesis.

Fourth, the thesis proposes a number of solutions and recommendations to develop the Western Europe tourists market to Vietnam on the basis of the analysis, evaluation and results of the qualitative research done by the writer.

The thesis is an overall study of the Western Europe tourists market to Vietnam, so that it is not possible to thoroughly and deeply analyze the factors that affect the decision to choose Vietnam destination of Western Europe tourists.
