This is the first scientific study to delve into Bui Ngoc Tan's short stories. From there, it points out the important position of short stories in Bui Ngoc Tan's career as well as the writer's contributions to modern Vietnamese literature. Bui Ngoc Tan's short stories have many unique values, showing a talented and dedicated writer.

As a result, this research clarifies the important place of short stories in Bui Ngoc Tan's career as well as his contribution to the modern Vietnamese literature. Bui Ngoc Tan's short stories included much great value that shows his talent and enthusiasm.
