This is the first scientific study to deeply research on short stories of Nguyen Dau. The thesis has shown a comprehensive view on the art of the short stories by Nguyen Dau in terms of plot, story situations, artistic space and period, as well as narrative tongue. It has represented the important position of the short stories in the career of Nguyen Dau as well as his contributions to the modern Vietnamese literature. The short stories by Nguyen Dauhave brought special values, indicating a talented and enthusiastic writer.
